Pine needles blocked the sun from hitting the ground in this part of Ashclan's land, making the ground marshy and wet. It was a great place to hunt for fat frogs, and for important herbs. That was exactly what this young she-cat was doing. It was nice and cool here, unlike the rest of the forest, and here she had the peace to herself. Her silver tabby fur rippled as she crept along the marsh, her tail down, two blue eyes focused on a small green figure tail lengths away. Her paws made no sound on the wet ground, but moving too fast could startle the frog into hopping away. That was not wanted, then the warrior would have to chase it, and amoung the patches of mud and weeds, it would be easy to lose her prey.
Her ears pricked, and she froze. This was Rainmist, a loyal warrior of Ashclan. Kind, forgiving, and innocent, no cat would ever think of hurting her outside of battle. Except one cat, one unknown as a threat to these cats. The tabby cat's guard was down, all of her was focused on her prey, unknowing of the bigger prey in this land. Herself.

Thornclaws quickly ran through AshClan terretory unheard and unseen. He kept every sent open for an AshClan cat. He had one intention while he was out today.
He didn't care who it was. Who ever he found first would be the one. He already killed Nightsong not to long ago. Now it was some poor cat in the worng place at the wrong time that would be his next victem.
He slowed down and quickly hid under a large pile of pine needles and saw a cat hunting. He saw her silver fur and recognized her from gatherings. He didn't quite know her name but he didn't care.

A scent, familiar yet unknown, blew over to Rainmist, and she stopped. It was a scent of a cat, and looking around, she saw some pine needles move. Her ears flattened against her head, as she called, "Who's there?" The she-cat took a step back, moving forwards did'n't seem like a good idea. [/blockquote]

Thornclaw held back a laugh. He smirked to himself and quickly jumped out of the pile of pine needles with his claws out and ready to attack.
"I'm ThornClaw," he hissed with a smirk on his face.

"Well Thornclaw, you're on Ashclan territory, and by your scent, you are not an Ashclan cat." Rainmist mewed, taking another step back. Something about this cat freaked her out. Maybe it was his smirk, or his claws, that made Rainmist take another step back. Hopefully the tom wouldn't attack her. [/blockquote]

Thornclaw laughed and took two steps forward. "I know I'm not an AshClan cat and I know I'm on AshClan terretory. He pounced forward at her with his claws outstretched.
He still had his scar from earlier and it was still bleeding. Later when he went back to camp he would have to see the medicine cat to stop the bleeding.
He still had a smirk on his face just imagining the faces of her clan mates when they found her dead bodie.

Rainmist ducked as soon as Thornclaw pounced at her, she wasn't the best fighter in the world, but she would do all she could to get this strange tom off Ashclan territory. She raked her claws along his side, hoping it would leave a nice mark, a sounvenir to remember her by, and to warn him not to come back. The warrior snarled, about to bite his tail. [/blockquote]

Thornclaw felt the sharp claws of Rainmist along his side. He hissed wildly holding back a yowl. He moved just in time before she had the chance to bite his tail.
He raked his claws alng the side of her face hoping to at least get her eye so she would have trouble seeing out it and maybe it would be easier to kill her.
He quickly got into the positon ready to defend himself and ready to pounce forward again. He had the intention of making her suffer first.

Rainmist gasped as claws raked above her eye. If Thornclaw was aiming for her eyes, he missed, but as the blood trickled down into them, it was harder to see. It stung, and rainmist was going to run away, but loyality for Ashclan stopped her. She jumped at the tom, not caring if she how hard she hit him. [/blockquote]

Thornclaw took advantige of her not being able to see and quickly moved out of the way and turning around this time airming for her neck. He didn't know if he would miss but if he did then she probally wouldn't be able to see him.

Rainmist struggled for breath as Thornclaw struck her there with outstreched claws. She fell onto the ground, as blood poured onto the ground. It left a scarlet pool around her, and with every heartbeat that passed, she got weaker. Her blue eyes were starting to go blank with pain as they shut, and right before she though the pain woud overwelme her, it all left. She opened her eyes, and she was a glowing cat. "I'm dead!!" She though despairingly. Thornclaw had won.

As soon as Thornclaw felt Rainmist stop struggling to escape his grasp he let go. He took her paw and pressed it into the ground facing AshClan camp. He smiled evily and took a step back. He waited for a minute and then turned and left.
