Well, it was another day in Stormclan and Bluepaw was feeliung a tad bored, since no cat seems to have gotten sick or hurt in quite a while, and though he knew that that was a good thing, he was feeling edgy from lack of practice and bored from only having to sort herbs, which didn't even NEED sorting half the time, but he did it anyway.
He sighed.
"I wonder if anything will happen today? I've heard cats talk about some trouble they've had with rogues, but none of them have seemed to be very bad or dangerous. I also wonder where Honeyleaf went, she said she would be back before sunhigh..."

OOC- Right, but can we just do a time lapse? In my message to you, Bluepaw is already supposed to be 3 moons into his training.
BTW: when you're ready to RP here, maybe we can just modify these posts since our cats will probly be the only ones talking for a while.

OOC: ...No, I haven't ever RP'd before. I mean, I had like two seconds of experience back at another RP forum, but the designer was constantly moving and kinda coo-coo, so I came here 'cause Rain told me he had his own site, and I offered to join. Am I making a jerk of myself? Please tell me if I am.

Cloudstar limped into the den, a look of stubbornness darkening in his eyes. He was out hunting, chasing a mouse, and he ran straight through a thorn bush. Oh course, he got stuck, and struggled out for a few minutes. Now his fur was a burr of thorn, but he came to the medicine cat den for the one suck deep into his paw. "Hey Bluepaw, I have a thorn stuck in my paw, can you get it out and put some marigold on it?"

Honeyleaf padded into the den moments after Cloudstar.
"Ah, there you are. I need to talk to you about... about something later," she diverted, glancing at Bluepaw. "Oh, and later can you go out and get me some more horsetail, Bluepaw? It's kind of short stocked..."

OOC- So what do we do with this whole "no training" thing? I suggested in a PM we say that Starclan had something to do with it. Call it emergency training or something.
Bluepaw looked up and said, "Sure thing Honeyleaf, anything else? I was messing around with the herbs and we seem low on feverfew too, do you think I should find that too? I know its still greenleaf, so cats might not get sick, so I don't know if its needed."
Just the thought about possible sickness made him shiver from nose to tail, but he tried not to show it as he waited for an answer, looking back and forth between Cloudstar and his mentor.

"Oh yes, do get more feverfew, but make sure that you store it in that corner over there by the rock in that muddy spot. I don't want htme drying out too quickly. Oh, also, do you remember which one feverfew is? I remember one time when Gingerfur was alive I accidently got coltsfoot instead."

Bluepaw scampered off, happy to finally be of some use while throwing a sympathetic glance at the clan leader. Thorns were annoying and he personally never liked them or treating them, especially with the chance of infection. Ugh.

"Okay Cloudstar, hold on one second while I get some marigold..." She returned a moment later. Honeyleaf dropped them at his feet. Taking his paw gently, she grabbed the thorn in her teeth.
"Hold on now, this might hurt a little." That said, she yanked the thorn out and pressed cobwebs on quickly. Chewing the marigold into a pulp was the gross part. She spread the herbs on the wound, but not too much.

Cloudstar grimaced, as a quick pain went though the pad of his paw. The marigold stung a bit, but the pain was over as quickly as it started. "That's better, now what did you want to talk to me about?" |
