"My oh my! I made a bad guess. It's okay, breath and don't yowl, you might kill the last one." Quickly she pased the third kit to Blackwhisker and meowed. "After this kit, you have to get her to eat those herbs. She's lossing blood." Quickly Riversong, yet again pushed down on her belly as another spazz came.

Blackwhisker started to lick the kit's fur the wrong away again, and very slowly, turned each one over. There was two toms and a she-cat. Smiling he licked each with pride. His nose wrinkled as he heard Riversong's orders and he nudged the herbs to her. "When the pain is going away eat these." He nuzzled her ear, and than stared blankly.

Rosethorn whimpered in pain. She pushed once the fourth and last kit came. After a bit the last kit was born. She lyed her head down she was tired of course and wasn't sure if she could eat thoughs herbs beside her. But she didn't want to die and lifted her head and ate the herb or what she could. It of course stopped the bleeding. She started to lick the fourth kit but after a while she knew he was dead. "no! no! no! He can't be!"she wailed in pain of lossing a kit.

"Sweetie it's okay, look he's siblings are alive.... he'll be remembered by us forever." He new he wouldn't get threw to her but he tried again. "What will there names Be?" He asked sweetly looking at the three living kits. One was scared up, a couple of scars on his muzzle and a long one on the back. "How about we name this tom Shadekit?" He turned to the other two kits and looked at Rosethorn.

Rosethorn was still upset for lossing a kit then turned to look at the three living kits and her face light up when she saw the three living kits. She licked the three kits and purred happy she atleast had not lost all her kits. She then saw that they where two toms and a she-kit. "Shadekit, Asterkit for this tom, and Morningkit for the only she-kit."she meowed to her mate pointing to the other two kits as she said the last two names. She knew knew the kits where hungry as well. "bring them to my belly I know their starving."she meowed to her mate, as her motherly instackts toke over. Morningkit started squeaking as she was hungry and could scent her mother's milk and squeaked even louder from smelling the milk. Even though she was blind she wailed loudly for smelling her mother's milk and tried to get to her mother;s belly.

Blackwhisker purred and than fell to his paws. "I'm so tired. But I'll be right back." He turned and raced away. Off to hunt.

Riversong smiled at the kits and curled up near the corner.

Even though he was blind at the moment, his amber eyes not yet able to open, Shadekit's first thing was to find milk. His first loud yowl for milk, made him drive forwards. Smiling darkly, he pushed right on past his sister and brother and nudged right on into his place.

Rosethorn just purred and moved the other two kits to her belly with out distorbing Shadekit. She licked the three kits and yawned as she was very tired. She rapted her tail around the three kits protectivly. She turned her head to Riversong. "Thank you, Riversong."she meowed with tiredness in her voice.

Morningkit squeaked when her mother moved her closer to her mother's belly but she purred happily and loudly when she started to suckle pawing at her mother;s belly.

Sunstorm was walking on her on thinking of her daughter knowing that her daughter would be having the kits soon, or already had them or just had them. She saw Blackwhisker and once he hunted she walked over to him. "Blackwhisker."she meowed to her daughter's mate. She had to know about the kits and if so she had to see them.

"Follow me." He meowed, not waiting to say hello and what not. He started to race with the three mice he had caught, one for Riversong, and two for Rosethorn. He was hungry, but he needed to feed everyone else. Quickly, he came to a stop. "Sun----Sunstorm....here..." He meowed dropping the mice around the hole for each cat.

Riversong nodded to Rosethorn and waited for Sunstorm to appear.

Rosethorn nodded to her mate and licked her mate and lifted her head when she herd her mothers name and scented her mother. She waited for her mother to enter and purred when she saw her mother and moved her tail so her mother could see the three new bornkits now suckling from their mother's belly. "Two toms and a she-kit. That ones Shadekit, that ones Asterkit, and the only she-kit is Morningkit."she meowed to her mother pointing to each kit when she named them.

Sunstorm purred and entered and licked her daughter's forhead and looked at her grandkits and purred. "Their good kits. If you want to go with Blackwhisker to Ashclan you can, I'll miss you and these kits but if you want to go with him you can. I'll see you at gathering, or a patrol."she meowed to her daughter then turned to Riversong and nodded to the medicine cat. "She have any trouble?"she meowed she could see the dead kit and didn't want to make it worse for the young parents so didn't bring the dead kit up, she waited for the Ashclan medicine cat to reply.

Blackwhisker purred. "We can head back to Ashclan, it'd be perfect." He meowed softly.

Riversong nodded. "I miss counted the ideal kits and if I didn't the fourth would of lived. I'm sorry, to disapoint them, but I never thought." Sighing Riversong let her head lie on the ground, and she finished her mouse.

Sunstorm just smiled at the medicine cat. "it's alright, mistakes happen. All that matters is that she made it and so did the three living kits."she meowed to Riversong she then got to her paws and licked her daughter one last time. She then left the den and headed back to camp.

Rosethorn watched her mother leave and looked at Riversong. "she's right Riversong."she meowed to her new clans medicine cat. She looked at her mate and rapted her tail around the three kits again. She finished her prey then purred at her mate. "You can have the other mice. I'm not hungry anymore or atleast not right now. You need to eat."she meowed to her mate her mothering instacks still there even when she told her mate to eat. She never thought they'd show so quickly.

Riversong just pushed the mouse away from Blackwhisker and everyone else. "You need it more than any one of us. Blackwhisker can hunt again. I'll help. Sunstorm can you stay with her.?" Riversong meowed pushing Blackwhisker out of the den.

Blackwhisker smiled and left with Riversong, and he started to hunt.

Rosethorn sighed and looked at the mouse left there, she didn't want to eat it she wasn't that hungry right now. But she knew Riversong was right and she had three kits to feed beside herself. She ate the mouse quickly and then started to bath the three kits, and waited for her mate and Riversong to come back. She first bathed Asterkit then Shadekit and fanily Morningkit. Once the three kits where bathed she started to wash her fur from any chances of giving birth but couldn't get all her pelt with out disturbing the suckling kits so she didn't wash herself completly. She hoped they'd be back soon she missed her mate.

Morningkit squeaked when her mother bathed her then gave a big yawn for such a small body showing her tiny pink mouth and curled up against her mother and fell a sleep. The she-kit looked so much like her mother.

Sunstorm stayed till they'd come back, she needed to get back to camp but didn't mind staying till they got back.

Blackwhisker and Riversong turned to each other in rthyme. There eyes wide as they both hunted together. It had been a while since they had done this, and since than so much had happen. Softly, tacking there prey back, Riversong looked at Sunstorm and meowed. "Sunstorm, would you mind returning in two days. I will need you to help remove the kits to my camp." Sighing Riversong dropped her mouse and rabbit on the ground. "The rabbit is for you to take to Cloudstar and Honeypaw."

Sunstorm just nodded her head yes and got up and toke the rabbit and headed back to her camp.

Rosethorn lifted her head at her mate. She looked at her mate. "Eat Blackwhisker, and you better eat this time."she meowed to her mate looking at him. She then looked at the three kits then back at the two cats still here after her mother left. "How will the clan take it? What if they don't want the kits or me?"she whispered looking from Riversong to Blackwhisker.

Riversong's little grin grew and she meowed. "They'll let you in cause I said so! They'll treat both of you like out cast, but I'll be there to defend both of you... If Stormclan was to attack Rosethorn, all I ask is that you fight for Ashclan, and stay away from your mother." Smiling Riversong took a small mouse and ate it right on up.

Blackwhisker purred and ate the rabbit in two bites. Looking at the she-cats he sat down and closed his eyes... sleeping.
