With a sigh, Cloudstar wandered around the willow clearing. His ears were pricked, and he was scenting the air. He was worried that he would be caught. The tom wouldn't have to if he was a Splashclan cat, but he was Stormclan leader, so he couldn't be caught. he shouldn't even be here, and why he was, the white cat didn't know. Cloudstar was just day dreaming, and his paws led him here. Maybe it was thw will of Starclan, maybe something imporant was going to happen here? Whatever it was, it hadn't happened yet. A big white tom-cat stood tasting the air in frnot of the dark tabby, hidden in the shadows. Her icy eyes glared toward the pel of the cat, SplashClan she assumed. She smiled evily, Yes, SplashClan! She wriggled her haunches and sprang, har claws seering the leaves and shreading then where her front paws lifted. Her came out of the bush and her paws followed as if a tiger was leaping out at him, but instead of a golden and black-striped pelt she had dark brown and black-striped. Her purple collar glintd with many teeth of many, many cats. Her paws lifted silently, but making the bush tremble. Her ears pricked for reanforcements and her lip curling in a snarl, her eyes gleaming in her soon-to-come victory.

Cloudstar turned quickly at the sound of the bush ruffling, and a she-cat pounced at him. As quick as he could, he jumped out of the way, and jumped on the she-cat from the side. "And just who do you think you are?" The leader growled, raking his claaws along the brown and black tabby fur. [/blockquote]

Midnight snarled and flashed at his face with long white-pale red claws. "Your nightmare fish-breath!" Her claws went from his top right ear down to the left side of his pure white face, leaving red marks weatening fast with blood. "Midnight, evenger of Maria and Signapora!" She screeched louder and she flashed away from the rang of his claws. Her claws leaving deep sandy marks that tinted with Cloudstar's blood. Her throat seemed choked by the memory, her dark tabby pelt, Maria's light tabby pattern.

Cloudstar didn't know who the two cats Midnight spoke of were, but he did know of the pain that spread across his face. The she-cat had raked her claws across his face, and he could feel the sting, and the warm trinkle of blood running down the side of his face. Cloudstar snarled, and jumped at Midnight, biting her ear and scoring his claws against her neck. [/blockquote]

Midnight raised her neck, the teeth frkom her studded collar raking against his leg and stabbing his neck, she swipped her claws down his chin and rolled on her back, pain seering her ear. She through her back paws across Cloudstar's snowy white belly, anger building up inside of her. No one dared try getting their little paws near her shoulder, or neck. Her memories of her mother and sister, was pushed out of the way when she remembered that same night, during a blizzard. She had attacked and sucsesfully defeated a white tom two times her size. Anger and an evil happiness fileld her body. One day, she would be invinsable. One day she would be more powerful than any other cat, with a mate and kits that would be her own family arising from the ashes of Signapora's.

Rage built up inside Cloudstar as he realized she was using the collar as an extra weapon. He jumped, and pinning down the black and brown tabby, he bit the tooth filled collar and pulled. It didn't break under the pressure, but a weird latch gave way, and Cloudstar tumbled off. The twoleg collar wasn't broken, but the latch that kept it together disconnected. The white leader grabbed it and swung it around hard, hitting Midnight across the head. Then Cloudstar dropped it, and pounced on Midnight, digging his claws into her belly. [/blockquote]

Midnight felt dazzed for a second as the small shiny thing hit her in the head. She snarled, shaking the dizziness from her head, though it ached still. She struck her back paws down his underbelly and bitting his forepaw to try to get him off. Her gleaming white teeth dug hard into his snowy paw, eyes closed and her stripped ears lay flat against her head. Her front paws pressed hard agianst his chest, claws digging into his chest while her legs flashed against his underbelly. In her head, pictures flashed of battles before, like the white cat she beet, the fiery orange cat who called himself Flamefur who she had grabbed his paw to trip, then a yellow and white cat named Lightpath who she had thorwn off with killing wounds to the belly.

With a little gasp, Cloudstar freed himself from Midnight's grasp, and walked a few tail lengths away. He couldn't see it, but his chest and belly was scarlet red from blood, and he was finding it a bit difficult to breath. His legs felt dizzy, and blood splattered in drops onto the ground. The forest spun around him, until he collasped. He jerked once, then laid still, his life ebbing away.
Stars glittered in the dusk sky, as a warm breeze blew throw the air. Long stems of grass in the meadow swayed in the wind, and it was a marvelous sight. Except for the bloody white cat laying next to a stream. His eyes flicked, and the tom's amber gaze looked around. He had been here twice before, and it was for the same reason as now. He was losing a life. The stars in the sky swirled, until a figure decended from them. Cloudstar sat up slowly, and gasped. The calico pelted she-cat gave a purr, half of worry, half of delight to see her only son. "Splashmist, is that really you?" The Stormclan leader mewed in excitement, sounding like a kit. That was the last time he had seen her alive, when he was a moon old, before his mother went hunting. During the hunt, a badger family trampled her, almost killing her. When a warrior brought her back to camp, Cloudstar said his final wishes, and vowed to become leader for his mother. It was many moons of her watching her son train hard for her, but he had done what he had said. "Cloudstar, I am so proud of you. You have 6 lives left, go kick that rogues furry little behind." Splashmist mewed. As her words left her mouth, the wounds on Cloudstar disappeared, and all was left was bloodstained fur. Cloudstar was about to speak, but everything faded, and when his eyes flickered once again, it was the willow clearing he saw. [/blockquote]

Midnight stood up, preasing a paw genlty on the white cat's bloody chest. Looking up, she raised her head and yowled victory into the sky, her loud cry sounding words, "We have won, Mother, Maria! We have won!" She raised her tail up, her icy eyes shinning. "Maria, we haved taken another water-fur to the ground with you!" She yowled like a coyote, yipping kinda, her eyes closed. She opened her after after her last words and set her paw to the grass. She bent down to lick the wound on his fance, cleaning the blood but four long marks still remained. She whispered after all the blood had been washed off his face, head and neck, "Visit your cats in what ever you call the place you go to after death that you better prepair for many more seats to crown more cats!" She licked his ear once like a mother grooming dirt from her kit's ear and stood up majesticly like a proud leader. She sat down and groomed more drying blood from his chest. Her eyes soft and almost loving, but no love was seen in them. All there was, was a kind of senibility and understanding. She would groom his pelt and drag him to the edge of her territory, he smelled of the tree-stalkers. Darn, even though he was on the fish-eater's land. She closed her eyes again as the blood seemed to wash away from his chest.

[[Coming from ;Mentors; & +Mentees+]] Wildstar crouched skillfully. "This is how to you do a proper crouch," She meowed to the apprentices, still as a rock. Her dark brown eyes caught a flash of movement, and she spotted a vole. "Try it, and see if you can catch it first." She instructed, flicking her muzzle in the prey's direction.

Dappeldpaw uncertainly matched his crouch. She knew she could do a simple crouch, she had ben hunting not a day ago! She carefully set one paw in front of the other as carfull as she could. The voletwtiched it's ears, nosing around in the brush. It had no idea death stalked it's every move. she twitched her whiskers, and wriggling her haunches and lept, her claws outstreatched and catching the ear a whisker-width from it. She, like an eagle, swooped her head down faster than it could twitch and broht her teeth together around it's neck. It twitched violently, then stopped. She picked it up with a low head, eyes looking toward Wildstar. Her tail diving low, then curlign up near the ground, like a Sharptooth's.

Wildstar purred, pleased. "Great catch, Dappledpaw!" She pointed her tail at some soft ground. "Why don't you bury it over there so we can get it later?" Huh, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. She was doing pretty well so far with keeping track of them... she just hoped it would stay that way. But probably not, with her luck.
Suddenly, her vision was blinded with white. Not white enough to hurt her eyes, but it was... like the fur of a white cat. It was pleasant, somehow. Then it was over, as fast as it came. Wildstar stumbled on her paws a little, before regaining her composure. [[OOC;; Now, if that isn't a hint of CloudXWild I don't know what is!]]

Dappledpaw walked over ot a clear peice of ground and started digin up a small hole. She set her vole in it gently, scrapping the dirt back on top of it. She whisked around and lifed her head to scent the air. Her thoughts had been so wrapped up in the prey and being a medicine cat apprentice, that the smell of blood and StormClan hit her like a wave. She almost stepped back from it's acrid stench. Her neck fur bristled and seh called out shakily, "W-wildstar! I-i sm-mell bl-lood!" Her mew was small but loud.

Ripplepaw and Minnowpaw followed Wildstar and Dappledpaw throuhg the forest, both of them alert for prey. Ripplepaw smiled when Dappledpaw caught the vole, he had a little crush on the pretty she-cat, but of course he wouldn't tell. Minnowpaw gasped as Dappledpaw said she smelled blood, then a heartbeat later, the scent hit her too. "Let's go see what happened!" She mewed, pacing in place.
